Being respectful and considerate of others around you

Hey All, my first week of school is practically over!!! Haven't read anything new lately  but I would like to share my thoughts and feelings on something that means quite a lot to me actually. I have been reading quite a bit about mental disorders and I would just like to throw something out there. Everyone freaks out when they find out that someone in particular has a mental disorder. I am so tired of the whole issue with these types of people. Just because they have a disorder doesn't make them any less human. In my lifetime, so far at least, people have always treated very different and would make fun of me to my face. For a very long time I wouldn't understand that is what they were doing, and now that I do, I feel very ashamed and pity them. Others would be over bearing while trying to help me after I told them that I had a form of autism. Just because I am odd and have some weird quirks doesn't mean I cannot handle everything or anything. The majority of the time I can, but sometimes I need help, just like everyone else. Simply put, I have learned to adapt myself and. Figure out how to survive in this world. Another thing, is that if you know someone is different, DON'T point it out. That, I have found is very frustrating on top of all the frustrating things with social interaction to begin with. Anyways, all I am basically trying to say is please just be respectful and don't make assumptions and if you want to know that person or how to interact with them, may it be any mental disorder, simply ASK!!!!!

last day of summer !!!!

So, today is my last day of summer before my senior year of high school begins. The time has really flown by, especially this particular summer. I am both excited yet a little nervous to start the new year. I don't know why but this particular year feels a bit different than the years previous. I have read all of my books for AP Lit, and have all my supplies just waiting for tomorrow to come now. I definitely feel that this year will be my best year in terms of socially and also just the atmosphere of it all. I can't wait to see what'll happen and the different people and friends I make. Happy Reading and to all of those starting school have a wonderful first day, Ciao!!!!

grey wolves series by Quinn Loftis

Hey All, I have just recently started to read the Grey Wolves series by Quinn Loftis. I am pleasantly surprised by this series. For quite a while i didn't want to read it because of the whole werewolf thing going on. The Books are thoroughly enjoyable to read, the author took the time to research different legends and myths to help influence the novels. That said, it gives me a respect for the author due to the fact that she is willing to actually take the time to really develop the story  thoroughly instead of being a crappily put together story just to put a book out there. I have been able to read three of the novels, one right after each other.I have a difficult time putting the books down, which is a definite good thing. Other news is that i will be starting school again soon, so i will try my best to update once a week if i have the time. Ciao, and happy reading to all!!!

first time blogger

I have recently just decided to start blogging for god only knows reasons and I think I might have just found my forte.I don't really know what to say here, so I am just going to talk directly with you if that's alright. I have always been a reader, often preferring to read while others my age played with other kids that are their own age. Reading is very personal to me, as it takes me to another world that is often quite more rich and I actually like a lot better than my own.I will read anything from classics to classical to fantasy and modern literature and "summer beach books". Music is the same way for me, I will listen to anything from french pop, to american pop and middle eastern pop and Bollywood. I find that I enjoy other cultures quite thoroughly. A little background on me is that I spent about 10 years living in Stuttgart,Germany so I am quite used to foreign cultures and infusion of them. I hope to talk with anyone who is willing to listen... for now I will be gone but back shortly. Happy reading to all of you and go explore a foreign culture!!!
